If you choose to host your wedding day at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in Melbourne, your wedding day will surely come across as a stunning work of art. Founded in 1861, the gallery is the oldest and most visited gallery in all of Australia. As I’ll work to skillfully capture your emotional story throughout the day, the beautiful detail of the gallery will also translate flawlessly into your images.
The National Gallery of Victoria’s Great Hall is elegantly expansive and incredibly unique. Perfect for couples that love all things original and unexpected, the Great Hall offers an environment of exciting character that will surely show in your wedding photography. Your guests will look up and be filled with awe over the whimsical, colorful stained glass ceiling by Leonard French. The gallery also has the Federation Court to enjoy, perfect for cocktail parties and near the Waterwall or Level One in the detailed environment of the Tea Room. The modern ambiance and visually intriguing glass ceiling makes the Federation Court a great choice for an urban-inspired wedding celebration. The Federation Court can also be used in conjunction with the Great Hall to hold guests.
Another great space of the gallery is Persimmon, which overlooks the lush Grollo Equiset Garden. You and your guests can enjoy all of the garden’s sculpture and landscape from the reception space. Certainly suited for couple’s portraits, the Persimmon restaurant space has many windows and great access to natural light.
