Envision yourself exchanging vows in a lush landscape, rich with green rolling hills, a scenic lake, and tall trees. If you like what you see, then the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne is the perfect venue for the wedding ceremony and reception you’ve been dreaming of hosting. As a professional wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of shooting weddings at this gorgeous venue many times. I can assure you that this venue will photograph beautifully as it transforms into the enchanted garden or natural oasis you hope to create.
With such romantic scenery, it’s a very fitting space to host the most romantic day of your life. The Botanic Gardens come alive with beauty, especially during the warm summer months when trees and flowers are in full bloom. The gardens are steeped in botanical history and long tradition, so this venue will only add to the meaning of your wedding day.
The gardens feature a scenic panorama of trees, sweeping lawns, flowerbeds, rockeries and picturesque shelters. The diverse backdrop adds charm and intrigue to your wedding photography, as I will work with you to create the wedding scenes you envision.
There is the unique Australian Cranbourne garden area that offers the opportunity of crafting stunning backdrops for your wedding photos.
The wonder of the gardens does not end upon entrance the indoor rooms available, either. The Gardens House is a charming Georgian building constructed in 1856. Receptions can be arranged in the upstairs dining room and verandah. You can also accommodate a larger number of guests via a custom built marquee in the surrounding garden. The new Tarnuk Rooms also have a capacity to seat 150 people or cater for up to 250 people cocktail style. Guests will love to the room’s spectacular views overlooking the Australian Garden.
If you’re dreaming of a rich, romantic venue with both indoor and outdoor accommodation, the Royal Botanic Gardens is an excellent choice.
