Anthony and Phina’s wedding film: the ceremony, portraits and the reception, all at Crown Towers Melbourne.
The film follows the whole day at Crown Towers Melbourne in the order it happened: the ceremony, portraits and the reception.
Ceremony, Portraits and Reception: Crown Towers Melbourne, 8 Whiteman St, Southbank VIC 3006.
Crown Towers is the five-star hotel of the Crown complex on the south bank of the Yarra at Southbank. It opened on 8 May 1997 as the first skyscraper in the precinct: 43 floors, 152.5 metres, 482 rooms, designed by Daryl Jackson, and still the tallest all-hotel building in Australia. Weddings at Crown use the Palladium, the largest hotel ballroom in the country with seven-metre ceilings and no pillars, the Crown Aviary rooftop, the River Room and Horizon on level 29 of the Towers.
We photographed Danielle and Michael’s wedding here, with their reception for around eight hundred guests in the Palladium after a church ceremony in Preston. Before the doors opened they used a terrace overlooking the city for portraits as the towers lit up, five minutes of dusk that carried the whole album. Inside, red ceiling lighting and a live stage show shaped the reception frames, and the wide floor gave clear views of the zaffe entrance and the first dance.
On this day the whole film stayed on the property: the ceremony, portraits and the reception at Crown Towers Melbourne.
