Yarra Valley Estate sits on 120 acres of bushland off the Melba Highway at Dixons Creek. The owners started working the property in 1986 and have run it with a conservation bent ever since, picking up Premier’s Sustainability Awards along the way. Couples marry at the Open-Air Chapel, down by the wetlands or in the native gardens, then move to the Garden Room, a marquee or a stretch tent for the reception.
This is one of the few Yarra Valley venues where the whole day happens on one property. There is accommodation on site for up to 96 guests across three wings and two cottages, so getting ready, ceremony, portraits and reception all sit within a short walk. Veri photographed Sarah and Kyle here from the morning through to the reception, and the bush edges and long grass gave them plenty of room to wander for portraits.
