Dryridge Estate is a boutique vineyard on Aspinall Road in the Megalong Valley, Blue Mountains, twenty minutes from Blackheath and two hours from Sydney. The vines sit on a ridge surrounded by sandstone escarpments, sunset to the west and the eastern cliffs lit by it. Weddings hold the ceremony in the gardens or among the vines, and the reception in a clear-roof marquee included with venue hire. A four-bedroom homestead and a two-bedroom lodge on the estate sleep the couple and family.

The valley makes the day self-contained: everyone is already on the estate, so the afternoon can move at its own pace, and the portraits happen on the ridge as the escarpment changes colour.
