Longview Vineyard is a family-owned winery on Pound Road at Macclesfield in the southern Adelaide Hills, about 45 minutes from the city. Established in 1995, it runs a cellar door restaurant, a day spa and on-site suites and a homestead, so a wedding party can stay on the property. The function spaces are built from rugged timber, stone and galvanised iron with big open fireplaces, and take up to 150 for a ceremony and around 210 seated for dinner.
Ceremonies run indoors or out, with the vine rows and the hills behind. Veri photographed Ashleigh and Fraser’s wedding at Longview, ceremony, portraits and reception all on the vineyard. Having accommodation on site meant the day could start and finish in the same place, and the portraits could wait for the light rather than the clock.
