Rebecca and Jacob’s wedding film: the ceremony, portraits and the reception, all at Marnong Estate.
The film follows the whole day at Marnong Estate in the order it happened: the ceremony, portraits and the reception.
Ceremony, Portraits and Reception: Marnong Estate, 2335 Mickleham Rd, Mickleham VIC 3064.
Marnong Estate is a 1,200-acre working farm, vineyard and events property on Mickleham Road in Mickleham, about 32 km north of Melbourne and a few minutes from the airport. The homestead’s rear bluestone section dates to the late 1840s; grazier Thomas Colclough added the Victorian front rooms in 1870, and the Angliss family held the property for more than 60 years. A renovation begun in 2016 turned the old farm buildings into dining and function spaces, and the estate opened in June 2018.
We have photographed and filmed weddings at Marnong Estate. Ceremonies use the Secret Garden, the Green Grove or a lookout marquee, and receptions run in the Woolshed under its fairy-light ceiling or upstairs in the Angliss Room, where floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the Macedon Ranges. The cabins on the hill give the wedding party somewhere to stay, so mornings can start on the estate.
On this day the whole film stayed on the property: the ceremony, portraits and the reception at Marnong Estate.
