Ceremony, Portraits and Reception: The Shearing Shed, 116 Gap Rd, Cowes VIC 3922.
The Shearing Shed is a family-owned barn venue on Gap Road on the outskirts of Cowes, Phillip Island. The shed was built in 1953 and restored as a reception space with an indoor fireplace and a firepit courtyard, on twenty acres of gardens ringed by paddocks. Ceremonies happen in the weatherproof Barn or at the Billabong, a garden setting by the water. It seats about 110 for dinner or up to 180 cocktail-style, with catering and bar in-house.
Veri has filmed a wedding here. A day at the Shearing Shed usually stays on the property: ceremony in the garden, drinks in the courtyard, dinner and dancing under the shed roof. The island’s beaches and the Nobbies are close if you want a coastal portrait run before the reception.
On this day the whole film stayed on the property: the ceremony, portraits and the reception at The Shearing Shed.
