Sheldon Receptions is a large purpose-built reception centre on Somerville Road in Sunshine West, about twenty minutes west of the CBD. It has hosted weddings for more than thirty years and was refitted with interiors by designer Shaynna Blaze. There are two ballrooms, the Bliss Room and the Delphinium Room, plus a garden used for ceremonies, and the venue seats up to six hundred guests or a thousand for cocktails. It is well known for big multicultural weddings, including Indian, Vietnamese, Lebanese and African celebrations.

A day here is usually an indoor day: ceremony or entrance on the staircase, a long reception under chandeliers, and a dance floor that runs late.
