Filmmaker's venue notes

Filming at Warrawong Estate

Warrawong Estate is a privately owned country wedding venue on Exford Road at Eynesbury, about 40 minutes west of Melbourne. The reception room is a woolshed built in 1859 that once worked as a shearing shed and cattle dairy, and the 1930s wheat silos still stand on the property. The estate runs to 185 acres of farmland with views over the gullies of the Werribee River, where the outdoor ceremony sits, and the woolshed seats up to 170 or holds 200 standing.

We have filmed seven weddings at Warrawong Estate between 2023 and 2025, and Veri photographs weddings across Melbourne’s west and is available here. A day at Warrawong runs from outside to inside: vows under the arbour above the river gullies, drinks around the barrel tables and the fire pit, then dinner in the woolshed under its lighting. The bridal suite with its fireplace is on site, so getting ready can happen on the property too.

On this day the whole film stayed on the property: the ceremony, portraits and the reception at Warrawong Estate.
