Eighteen holes along the Yarra at Kew East since 1948, with a modern clubhouse for the night.
Green Acres Golf Club is a private 18-hole club on Elm Grove in Kew East, about 8 km east of the Melbourne CBD, founded in 1948. The course runs beside the Yarra River on the suburb’s northern edge, roughly fifteen minutes from the city, with a modern clubhouse and a practice centre, and the club hosts weddings, conferences and functions as well as golf. The suburb was farmland along the river before it was anything else, sold off in the 1840s.
Veri photographed a wedding here, and the gallery below is the album from that day. A golf club wedding in the eastern suburbs has a practical shape: the ceremony and the reception at the club, portraits out on the course among the trees with the river side of the course behind, and everyone back inside for dinner without a single car moving.
Seven small things that make a real difference on the day — learned across hundreds of weddings. None of them involve practising poses.
In motion, unposed · FR 15AYou don't need to perform or worry about what you look like. The best photos come from real moments: a glance, a laugh, a shared breath. Let go a little — we'll guide when needed, and the best unfolds naturally.
A little breathing room between getting ready, the ceremony and couple portraits makes all the difference. It gives us space for spontaneous shots — and gives you time to soak it all in.
A quiet lane, an open field, a textured wall — we love meaningful or interesting spots. Trust us to find great light, but if you've got a place you love, let's work it in.
Phones can distract from the emotion (and your photos). Asking guests to be fully present makes for cleaner frames and a more heartfelt atmosphere.
Clutter-free rooms with natural light are a photographer's dream, and calm energy in the morning sets the tone for the day. Keep the space tidy — or assign a friend to do a quick sweep before we arrive.
Especially during portraits — hydration and a little sugar go a long way in keeping energy and moods high.
We've worked at hundreds of weddings and we're here to make you look and feel amazing. Trust us with the light, the angles, the pace — we've got you.
Golf courses are open ground, so the trick is to find the edges: the tree lines and the river side of the course, where the light filters rather than blasts. Late afternoon puts long shadows across the fairways and lights the couple from the side. A golf cart moves a wedding party a long way quickly, and clubs are used to lending one. The clubhouse covers the rain. The gallery below is a Green Acres Golf Club wedding album from Kew East.
