Alison & Nathan - Poet's Lane Wedding, Sherbrooke

Poet’s Lane is a wedding venue on the corner of Sherbrooke Road and Poets Lane at Sherbrooke, in the Dandenong Ranges about 43 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Ceremonies are held in a chapel with stained glass windows or at a garden gazebo, one a day. The dining room looks over the gardens under three crystal chandeliers and seats 80 to 170. The gardens have laneways, a bridge and water features, and a motel with cottages sits on the property.

Veri has photographed three weddings at Poet’s Lane: Alison and Nathan, Annie and Johnson, and a garden wedding for a third couple. Alison and Nathan’s gallery runs past five hundred frames, most of them in the garden between the chapel and the reception, which tells you how the property is used: everything happens within a short walk, and the couple never has to leave.
