Vine rows on a Seville hillside, a glass pavilion, and the Yarra Ranges closing the frame
Elmswood Estate is a working vineyard on Monbulk-Seville Road at Seville, in the Upper Yarra Valley about an hour east of Melbourne. The property runs to 25 acres, with the rows falling away towards the Yarra Ranges. Weddings use three connected spaces: an all-glass Pavilion with floor-to-ceiling windows, an elevated Deck and a covered Terrace, so a ceremony can sit among the vines or move under cover without anyone leaving the block. The estate makes its own wine from the vineyard around the venue.
Veri photographed Emma and Reece’s wedding here from start to finish. The groom got ready at a bed and breakfast on Ducks Lane in Seville, a few minutes down the road, and the bride, the ceremony, the portraits and the reception all stayed at Elmswood. That is the practical shape of a day here: one address, vines on three sides, and no bus between the vows and dinner.
Seven small things that make a real difference on the day — learned across hundreds of weddings. None of them involve practising poses.
In motion, unposed · FR 15AYou don't need to perform or worry about what you look like. The best photos come from real moments: a glance, a laugh, a shared breath. Let go a little — we'll guide when needed, and the best unfolds naturally.
A little breathing room between getting ready, the ceremony and couple portraits makes all the difference. It gives us space for spontaneous shots — and gives you time to soak it all in.
A quiet lane, an open field, a textured wall — we love meaningful or interesting spots. Trust us to find great light, but if you've got a place you love, let's work it in.
Phones can distract from the emotion (and your photos). Asking guests to be fully present makes for cleaner frames and a more heartfelt atmosphere.
Clutter-free rooms with natural light are a photographer's dream, and calm energy in the morning sets the tone for the day. Keep the space tidy — or assign a friend to do a quick sweep before we arrive.
Especially during portraits — hydration and a little sugar go a long way in keeping energy and moods high.
We've worked at hundreds of weddings and we're here to make you look and feel amazing. Trust us with the light, the angles, the pace — we've got you.
The Deck sits above the vineyard, so the wide ceremony frame gets rows and ranges behind the couple rather than a car park. For portraits we walk straight into the vines; the gaps between rows give clean leading lines and the hills close the background. The Pavilion’s glass keeps the reception bright until dusk, and it doubles as the wet-weather fallback along with the Terrace. Allow twenty minutes at last light, because it drops quickly behind the ranges. The gallery below is Emma and Reece’s full day.
