Vines on the Shoreham Road slope, Western Port and Phillip Island in the distance, and a lawn for the vows
Red Hill Estate is a winery established in 1989, with its original vineyard on Shoreham Road at Red Hill South on the Mornington Peninsula, on a slope looking over the vines to Western Port and Phillip Island. For thirty-one years the restaurant there was Max’s, opened in 1994, with ceremonies on the lawn or under the Terrace and receptions for 60 to 200. Max’s has since closed, and the Red Hill Estate name now belongs to the Fabrizio family’s winery at Main Ridge.
Veri photographed Katerina and Shaun’s wedding here: a Greek Orthodox ceremony at the church in Red Hill, then portraits in the vineyard and the reception at the estate. That view over the water is what people book Red Hill for, and the vineyard rows running downhill towards it are the portrait spot.
Seven small things that make a real difference on the day — learned across hundreds of weddings. None of them involve practising poses.
In motion, unposed · FR 15AYou don't need to perform or worry about what you look like. The best photos come from real moments: a glance, a laugh, a shared breath. Let go a little — we'll guide when needed, and the best unfolds naturally.
A little breathing room between getting ready, the ceremony and couple portraits makes all the difference. It gives us space for spontaneous shots — and gives you time to soak it all in.
A quiet lane, an open field, a textured wall — we love meaningful or interesting spots. Trust us to find great light, but if you've got a place you love, let's work it in.
Phones can distract from the emotion (and your photos). Asking guests to be fully present makes for cleaner frames and a more heartfelt atmosphere.
Clutter-free rooms with natural light are a photographer's dream, and calm energy in the morning sets the tone for the day. Keep the space tidy — or assign a friend to do a quick sweep before we arrive.
Especially during portraits — hydration and a little sugar go a long way in keeping energy and moods high.
We've worked at hundreds of weddings and we're here to make you look and feel amazing. Trust us with the light, the angles, the pace — we've got you.
The slope faces Western Port, so the view is clearest in the morning and goes hazy blue by late afternoon, which suits soft portraits among the vines. Walk the couple down a row until the bay sits behind them. The Terrace covers a wet ceremony without losing the outlook. The restaurant’s wraparound windows kept the room bright until the sun went behind the hill. If you are planning a wedding here now, confirm who is running the Shoreham Road site.
