The South-East Pylon, above the streets of The Rocks
Pylon Lookout was the name used for the visitor experience inside Sydney Harbour Bridge's South-East Pylon. The pylon rises above The Rocks and gives a different viewpoint from the lawns and paths below the bridge. It is a distinct location from Hickson Road Reserve and Dawes Point Park.
BridgeClimb reopened the space as BridgeMuseum in 2026. We keep the Pylon Lookout name here so older wedding and pre-wedding photographs can be described in the terms used when they were taken. A bridge in the background alone is not evidence that a portrait was made inside the pylon or on its lookout level.
The lookout and museum are inside the South-East Pylon; BridgeClimb at the bridge summit is a separate experience.
