We started Jeannette and Pierre’s Sydney pre-wedding shoot on the sandstone steps of The Rocks. They began in casual clothes; by the harbour, Jeannette had changed into her white gown and veil, and the breeze gave us plenty to work with beneath Sydney Harbour Bridge. We followed them out to Cape Banks in La Perouse, where they walked across layered rock above the surf, then finished on the stone jetty at Bradleys Head. From Sydney’s North Shore, the city spread out behind them across the water.

Pre-wedding locations: The Rocks and Campbells Cove, Sydney CBD; Cape Banks, La Perouse; and Bradleys Head, Mosman.
Jeannette and Pierre walked the old steps and bond-store streets around The Rocks before we took them beneath the Harbour Bridge for a looser, windier set of portraits. Near Pylon Lookout, we kept them moving along the waterfront instead of holding them still against the view. Cape Banks changed everything: Jeannette’s veil lifted above the surf while they crossed the pale sandstone together. At Bradleys Head in Mosman, we photographed them on the rocks and jetty, then stepped back to fit the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge into the same frame. It felt like a fitting last look across the harbour.
Around The Rocks and Campbells Cove, we could switch between sandstone stairs, bond-store walls and the harbourfront without losing the feel of the city. Cape Banks was a different kind of stop: open rock, moving surf and a veil that would not sit still. We worked with that wind rather than asking Jeannette and Pierre to fight it. Bradleys Head gave us room to finish with both close portraits and a wide view back towards Sydney. For a destination pre-wedding shoot across these places, we’d leave generous travel time and let the light decide the order within each stop.
