Elmswood Estate is a working vineyard on Monbulk-Seville Road at Seville, in the Upper Yarra Valley about an hour east of Melbourne. The property runs to 25 acres, with the rows falling away towards the Yarra Ranges. Weddings use three connected spaces: an all-glass Pavilion with floor-to-ceiling windows, an elevated Deck and a covered Terrace, so a ceremony can sit among the vines or move under cover without anyone leaving the block. The estate makes its own wine from the vineyard around the venue.
Veri photographed Emma and Reece’s wedding here from start to finish. The groom got ready at a bed and breakfast on Ducks Lane in Seville, a few minutes down the road, and the bride, the ceremony, the portraits and the reception all stayed at Elmswood. That is the practical shape of a day here: one address, vines on three sides, and no bus between the vows and dinner.
