A lakeside gazebo on the Leslie Harrison Reservoir, gum trees behind and a silk-lined marquee for dinner
Cherbon Waters is a wedding property on Cherbon Street at Burbank, in Brisbane’s south-east about 25 minutes from the CBD. It sits on the banks of the Leslie Harrison Reservoir among gum trees and native bush, and the grounds also run an equestrian centre. The ceremony space is a lakeside gazebo reached by a long bridal walkway, and receptions for up to 240 go into a silk-lined marquee with chandeliers, a sandstone floor and a timber dance floor beside a water feature called Reflection Cove.
Rayane and Arthur held their ceremony, portraits and reception here. The day stays on the property: vows at the gazebo with the water behind, portraits along the lake edge and under the gums, and the marquee lit up as the evening comes in over the reservoir.
Seven small things that make a real difference on the day — learned across hundreds of weddings. None of them involve practising poses.
In motion, unposed · FR 15AYou don't need to perform or worry about what you look like. The best photos come from real moments: a glance, a laugh, a shared breath. Let go a little — we'll guide when needed, and the best unfolds naturally.
A little breathing room between getting ready, the ceremony and couple portraits makes all the difference. It gives us space for spontaneous shots — and gives you time to soak it all in.
A quiet lane, an open field, a textured wall — we love meaningful or interesting spots. Trust us to find great light, but if you've got a place you love, let's work it in.
Phones can distract from the emotion (and your photos). Asking guests to be fully present makes for cleaner frames and a more heartfelt atmosphere.
Clutter-free rooms with natural light are a photographer's dream, and calm energy in the morning sets the tone for the day. Keep the space tidy — or assign a friend to do a quick sweep before we arrive.
Especially during portraits — hydration and a little sugar go a long way in keeping energy and moods high.
We've worked at hundreds of weddings and we're here to make you look and feel amazing. Trust us with the light, the angles, the pace — we've got you.
The gazebo faces the water, so plan the ceremony for the back half of the afternoon when the light on the reservoir goes soft and the gums stop throwing hard shade. The walkway gives a long approach for the entrance, and the lake edge gives reflections for couple portraits before the party moves under canvas. Reflection Cove is lit at night, which gives a last frame after the first dance. The marquee is the wet-weather room. The gallery below is Rayane and Arthur’s Cherbon Waters wedding.
