Twenty-two acres of paddocks and old camphor laurels at Carrara, ten minutes from Broadbeach.
Glenrock Farm is a private wedding venue on a working farm at Carrara on the Gold Coast, off Chisholm Road, under ten kilometres from the beach and about ten minutes from Broadbeach. Its 22 acres of open paddock were once dairy land, with old camphor laurel and gum trees, hilltop ceremony spots and a barn of exposed corrugated iron and timber hung with festoon lights. The barn seats 100 for dinner; the grounds take 200 or more for a cocktail wedding, with marquees beyond that.
Elyse and Dan got ready at RACV Royal Pines Resort and then had both ceremony and reception at Glenrock, with Veri shooting photography and video across the day. The 420-image gallery shows the shape of it: vows under the big trees, portraits out in the paddocks as the sun drops, then the barn lit up for dinner and dancing, all on one property with no travel in between.
Seven small things that make a real difference on the day — learned across hundreds of weddings. None of them involve practising poses.
In motion, unposed · FR 15AYou don't need to perform or worry about what you look like. The best photos come from real moments: a glance, a laugh, a shared breath. Let go a little — we'll guide when needed, and the best unfolds naturally.
A little breathing room between getting ready, the ceremony and couple portraits makes all the difference. It gives us space for spontaneous shots — and gives you time to soak it all in.
A quiet lane, an open field, a textured wall — we love meaningful or interesting spots. Trust us to find great light, but if you've got a place you love, let's work it in.
Phones can distract from the emotion (and your photos). Asking guests to be fully present makes for cleaner frames and a more heartfelt atmosphere.
Clutter-free rooms with natural light are a photographer's dream, and calm energy in the morning sets the tone for the day. Keep the space tidy — or assign a friend to do a quick sweep before we arrive.
Especially during portraits — hydration and a little sugar go a long way in keeping energy and moods high.
We've worked at hundreds of weddings and we're here to make you look and feel amazing. Trust us with the light, the angles, the pace — we've got you.
Queensland sun is hard, so an afternoon ceremony under the camphor laurels is the sensible call and the hilltop is for the last light. The paddocks give a long, clean horizon for portraits and the couple can walk a fair way from the guests without leaving the property. The barn is open-sided, so the festoon lights and the sunset behind them do the reception frames; add a light for the dance floor. Wet weather goes under the barn roof or a marquee.
